A great time was had by all! And if you missed it, we missed you!
We'd love to see you next time!

I had the great privilege and pleasure of attending my 35th High School Reunion this past weekend and have actually been fortunate to attend our 3 previous reunions as well.
Even though this was the smallest reunion we've had (just under a hundred in attendance,) it was by far the best- at least it was for me. I got to catch up with the friends I usually talk to at reunions, but this time I spent time talking with and getting to know people I never had the chance to in high school. Those invisible barriers were finally gone and those who had always been "out of my league" (or I always perceived to be) were friendly and approachable. (And most likely always had been..)
Our class as a whole seemed more like family than ever before and the cliques that used to be visible from a mile away had all but vanished. The competitiveness and egos of our earliest reunions- gone.
Some people looked amazingly good, virtually the same as they did in high school. Others looked even better than they did back then! And then there were folks like me, who are holding up as best we can.
But the most important thing I realized at this reunion was that we all seemingly have one thing in common: we are finally happy in our own skin. The facades are long gone. We are who we are. And after 35 years we have learned that that's the best thing to be.
